If mounting to some wall or ceiling, the Ethernet cable will feed from at the rear of the MR55. The "Power Source alternatives" part of this doc lists the several powering selections and their one of a kind properties.  The MR55 attaches on the mount cradle with two tabs about the cradle that insert in to the MR55, which is secured for the cradle
